 Dr. Marcus is a graduate of the University of Miami and received his dental degree, with honors, from the University of Southern California in 1983. He is a member of the academic honor societies Phi Kappa Phi and Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Dr. Marcus served as an Associate Clinical Instructor at the School of Dentistry before starting private practice in the city.
Dr. Marcus strongly believes in continuing education and has averaged well over 100 hours of continuing education per year since graduation, much greater than the required 30 hours yearly. He also believes in continuing education for his team and has chosen to spend the resources of time, effort and finances on the development of each individual's knowledge and abilities as well as his own. Under the leadership of Dr. Marcus , the team has invested heavily in the behavioral aspects of healthcare as well as leading edge clinical dentistry. Dr. Marcus is a firm believer in our community as witnessed by serving on a multitude of boards. He is a past president of the Boys and Girls' Club of Miami. Most recently he has served on the board of directors of the Academy of Advanced Community Support.
Dr. Marcus's main clinical focus has been directed toward cosmetic and long term restorative dentistry, TMJ and dental sleep medicine, including snoring cessation.
Dr. Marcus and his wife Judy have been married since 1982 and have two sons, Ralph and Tony. Dr. Marcus is passionate about dentistry. |
